Surveillance video: Furniture truck accident on Shelby Street in Worcester.
WORCESTER - A delivery worker for Bob's Discount Furniture escaped injury Friday morning after leaping from the back of an out-of-control box truck that was rolling down Shelby Street.
Jeffrey Sierra was in the back of the parked furniture truck when it unexpectedly began to move, and the vehicle rolled down a steep hill, striking a car and veering into the front yard of a house at 17-19 Shelby St., demolishing the front steps, according to the Fire Department.
Mr. Sierra jumped from the truck before it crashed. Several cases of furniture flew out the open rear door at one point.
